Last year NYBEP delivered 6,230 block work experience placements, 13,040 STEM-related interventions and 55,200 enterprise-related opportunities for students. 820 teachers took part in workforce development opportunities. Far more learners benefitted indirectly from projects co-ordinated by NYBEP.
NYBEP successfully placed 111 young people from across the sub-region in extended work experience placements, with enhanced support. In the summer term an extension of the programme allowed for 28 focused activities and interventions, in and out of school, benefiting 815 more students at risk of disaffection.

NYBEP supports 20 schools in the City of York and North Yorkshire to deliver their mentoring programmes. Volunteer mentors are recruited from businesses, the community, colleges and universities to support students in schools. Feedback from schools shows that students' social skills, self confidence and self awareness change in a positive way.
